Getting to Patagonia:
Our present tour offerings begin or end in Coyhaique, Chile in the Aysen region of central Patagonia or in Punta Arenas, Chile on the Straits of Magellan. Getting to Coyhaique involves first flying to Santiago, Chile (airport code: SCL) and then continuing on via a 3-hour flight south following the spine of the Andes Range to the Coyhaique/Balmaceda (airport code: BBA). Rex Bryngelson will be there to meet you at the airport. At the end of your tour you will fly out of Punta Arenas (airport code: PUQ) back to Santiago and then catch your evening flight back home. We highly recommend LATAM airlines for your air travel to and within Chile. LATAM airlines is South America's premier airlines and offers impeccable service at a competitive price.
Many tour participants choose to spend a night or more around Santiago visiting local cultural sites, touring the wine country, or visiting the historic port city of Valparaiso on the coast. We can recommend the best hotels, restaurants and tours for those interested in spending time around Santiago.
There are several other wonderful photo destinations we can recommend to add on to your Patagonia tour such as: Easter Island, the Atacama Desert, Iguazu Falls, the Falkland Islands or of course, Antarctica.
