Chile’s Easter Island and the Atacama Desert

Sept 28 to Oct 8, 2024 (11 days)

This unique tour combines two of the Southern Hemisphere's most spectacular locations for photography, Chile's Atacama Desert and Easter Island. The Atacama, whose surreal landscape is often compared to that of Mars, is the World's driest desert region and possesses some of the Planet's most interesting and colorful geologic landforms, wildlife and archeological wonders. Additionally, its extreme dryness and high altitude make it renowned as the best place in the World for observing the night sky. This particular tour is specifically timed to coincide with the new moon, providing optimal conditions for photographing the night sky. This tour begins with 5-nights based from the picturesque desert oasis of San Pedro de Atacama. Days are spent exploring the area's best-known geologic wonders like the Rainbow Valley, Geysers of Tatio, Valley of the Moon and evenings are devoted to observing and capturing images of the Atacama's brilliant night sky. Following Atacama you fly to Easter Island, home to one of humanity's greatest unsolved mysteries to spend another 3-full days, enjoying Easter's mild sub-tropical climate while photographing all the island's famous stone "Moai", petroglyphs and other important archeological sites.

Price: US$6,650 p.p. based on shared room, US$7,980 single private room.
