Few wildlife experiences can compare with witnessing the Great Migration of the Serengeti. This tour is timed to put us in the heart of this extraordinary spectacle, as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather on the northern plains and prepare to undertake one of nature’s most dramatic journeys.

We begin with a small-plane flight from Arusha to Kogatende, carrying us directly into the heart of the action. From here, our focus is on photography—following the herds, anticipating the action, and positioning ourselves for those fleeting moments when the migration comes alive. With luck, we may witness the unforgettable spectacle of wildebeest plunging into the Mara River, battling strong currents and waiting crocodiles as they attempt to reach the opposite bank.

But Tanzania offers far more than just the migration. We will also explore the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife of the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara, each offering its own unique photographic opportunities—from intimate encounters with wildlife to sweeping African landscapes.

October is an especially appealing time to visit. As the high-season crowds begin to thin, we can enjoy a more intimate experience in the parks, with greater freedom to concentrate on the photography and the moments unfolding around us.
